If you haven’t noticed it yet or haven’t read my “About Me” page, you must know this is my “personal” blog.
This is my half-hearted attempt at bringing back my personal feeling towards the early blogging era where people would share their life events and thoughts without being try-hards, caring about lookism and perfection and writing about unnecessary sponsored contents. I have limited the blog availability on the web and blocked the comment sections as it is meant for personal use, hence I am not expecting any external readers other than my close friends. There are several issues you need to clarify with your readers before you put up a blog. There are many people out there who would judge you for any slightest mistakes you may end up doing online which is harder to erase. I believe the best way to communicate with your readers, provided you have any (in my case, I mostly talk to myself in this blog), is to find the right balance between transparency and honesty. I made a list of rules I obey by while taking into account my colleagues, coursemates friends and family members. If you have any inquiries, issues with my content or just want to chat a bit pop me an email through the contact form.
✵ First of all, I don’t monetise my blog. I pay for the domain and hosting services. I am a total WordPress noob.
✵ All the links I provide are not affiliated. I do not get paid by companies to write about the type of Ramen I enjoy eating. Although I wouldn’t mind NongShim to sponsor me LOOOL jokes. Best Ramen ever seriously.
✵ If I ever plan for a passive income through this platform, I will definitely update my readers on it.
✵ Just because it is a personal blog I am not going to write about every single detail of my life deeply. I use this platform solely to share events which I find interesting. Do not expect too much drama.
✵ Acknowledge that I understand my responsibilities in keeping a public online space and that I have my own boundaries.
✵ My posts do not generalise any ethnicities or any other group of people. I only talk from my personal experiences.
✵ All the people’s name mentioned in this blog are pseudonyms. I am not going to post someone’s name or picture without their consent.
✵ There is nothing in my posts that would make me uncomfortable to share with my family, my friends, or ideal strangers. I believe my archives represent a genuine and authentic journey towards the place where I am now and I would like to keep these posts to remind my future self of how I lived.
✵ Ah, and I may swear sometimes.
TL;DR for you annoying pricks
It’s my personal blog. I do and say whatever the hell I want and I don’t get any money from my posts nor from your irrelevant views and comments.
